SEP Media

About

SEP Media is me, Joseph Combes, working out of Worthing. When you email, I read it. When you ring, I answer. When something's wrong with your site at half seven on a Tuesday, you're not raising a ticket with an account manager who'll pass it to a developer you'll never speak to.

Why it started

Good businesses, badly represented.

Drive around West Sussex and you'll pass dozens of genuinely good businesses — joiners, garages, care homes, clubs, salons — whose online presence is doing them active harm. A site built in 2011 that nobody can update. Photographs taken on a phone in bad light. No way to see inside a building you're being asked to trust with a relative, or a wedding, or twelve thousand pounds of work.

That gap is the whole reason SEP Media exists. Not to sell marketing packages, but to make the way a business looks online match how good it actually is.

The kit matters because it decides what's possible. Matterport and a Leica BLK360 mean a walkthrough that measures the building rather than approximating it. A commercial aircraft and a certified pilot mean roof and site imagery nobody can safely reach from the ground. Most studios my size subcontract all of this. I don't, which is why the website, the tour and the aerial set actually look like they belong to the same business.

Being local is the actual product, though. Someone twenty minutes away who has seen your premises will make better decisions about your website than an agency in another city working from a form you filled in. That's not a sentiment — it shows up in the work.

Being honest about it

What "early stage" means for you.

SEP Media is new. There's no wall of client logos here because there isn't one yet, and inventing one would tell you everything you need to know about how the rest of the job would go.

What being early actually means in practice: you get considerably more of my time than you'd get from a studio juggling thirty accounts, the pricing reflects where the studio is rather than where I'd like it to be, and there's already real work to judge me on — Dugout AI Limited has brought me in to build the websites for Dugout Design, their studio for non-league football clubs.

What it doesn't mean: guesswork on the technical side. The capture equipment is professional, the aerial work is flown legally and insured, with a CAA-certified pilot on every flight, and the scope and price are agreed in writing before anything starts.

Service area

Worthing first, West Sussex properly.

Worthing, Lancing, Shoreham, Littlehampton, Steyning, Findon, Rustington, Angmering and the rest of West Sussex, with Brighton and Chichester comfortably in range. Further afield is usually fine too — travel is quoted honestly rather than buried in the total.

Also now: websites for non-league football

Dugout Design and Dugout Diary, built with Dugout AI.

SEP Media is the independent web design and development delivery partner for Dugout Design, a Dugout AI Limited brand. Dugout AI handles contracting, invoicing and hosting; I do the design and build, project by project. Everything else here — the tours, the aerial work, and every website outside football — is SEP Media's own work, and you deal with me directly.
